PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN) — A SWAT team was called in to assist Pembroke Pines police in arresting man wanted for attempted murder, Thursday.

Police searched for 28-year-old Ahmad Antwuan Robinson for an attempted murder charge from Wednesday.

According to police, when they got to his house, located near Northwest 20th Street and 78th Way, he following day, he barricaded himself in. That’s when a SWAT team was called to aid police, since they were unsure if Robinson was armed.

They then arrested Robinson. However, residents Thursday afternoon remained in shock by the incicdent. “A very nice area. Very, very nice,” said resident Shneail Burnet. “I just can’t believe anything like this would happen here.”

Robinson was already on active federal probation for previous charges.
