MIAMI (WSVN) — Miami has made it to the top of another nationwide list, but this time, it’s not good.

In a new nationwide study conducted by 24/7 Wall St., Miami has been given the number one spot as the worst city to live in the United States of America. “No city in the United States is worse to live in than Miami,” states the study.

According to researchers, the study analyzed the roughly 550 cities in the U.S. Census Bureau that reported as having populations of more than 65,000 residents in 2015. From there, they considered the lowest ranking city in each county.

Miami was “honored” with the number one spot thanks to our median home value of $245,000, which is well above the national median of $181,200. What makes this a problem is the fact that Miami’s median household income is only $31,917 (well below the national median of $53,657), meaning most of these expensive homes are completely out of reach for most residents.

Furthermore, according to the study, the earnings gap in the metro area of Miami is the most unequal of any U.S. city.
