SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Authorities have located an unmarked Miami-Dade Police car in a canal in Southwest Miami-Dade, one day after, they said, it had been stolen from an officer’s home.

Police pulled the submerged vehicle from the canal located in the area of Southwest 42nd Street and 162nd Avenue, Saturday.

Police said the gray Dodge Charger is assigned to an officer who said someone stole it from in front of his home in the area of Miller Drive and Southwest 162nd Avenue, in Southwest Miami-Dade, about one mile away from the canal, between 10 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. on Friday. He said the perpetrator also burglarized his personal vehicles.

According to investigators, a group of people found the Charger while searching for Liliana and Daniela Moreno. Loved ones have not heard from the Doral mother and daughter since they vanished on May 31.
