(WSVN) - The state has completed an ethics investigation into Miami-Dade Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, deciding to take no further action despite his alleged violation of the gift law.

Florida officials said Carvalho violated the state’s gift law by failing to disclose he accepted things like tickets and ties valued at more than $100.

Officials said, because Carvalho accepted responsibility and later reported the gifts, there will be no further action taken against him.
