SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. (WSVN) — A fire at a Southwest Ranches home has left a family without a place to live.
Officials said the fire began because of a kitchen fire. “It definitely sounds like the dog alerted the two occupants early that something wrong was going on and then they were able to realize then that they in fact had a fire in the house, and they were able to self-evacuate,” said Davie Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Andrew Popick.
The father and son were checked on scene and refused to go to the hospital.
