FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FLA. (WSVN) - Southwest Airlines is gearing up to offer flights to Cuba following the United States’ historic change in relations with the island nation.
The airline is set to announce details about it’s upcoming service to Cuba.
Flights between Fort-Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Varadero, Cuba are set to start running soon.
Flights to Havana are then expected to begin soon after.
Southwest is the latest airline to offer commercial flights to the island after Jet Blue and American Airlines did the same over the summer.
