HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida car dealership is promoting literacy with a day of family fun, Monday.
Hollywood Kia has partnered up with Literacy Connection for a day of free books and prizes. The event aims to promote reading for disadvantaged children.
The dealership is also donating a bus to the organization. “We decided to bring this initiative to the forefront and create an initiative called Operation Read Mobile,” said founder of Literacy Connection Inc., Tia Major. “We did the research and found that Hollywood Kia was the best family-friendly, community-oriented dealership.”
Literacy Connection promotes education for kids through training events, programs and other resources.
They hope to reach 5,000 children by the end of the year.
