MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - A smokey smell set off student concern at Florida Memorial University.

Officials were alerted of the smell of smoke inside one of the dorms by students inside the residential hall, Monday morning.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the Miami Gardens campus along Northwest 42nd Avenue, near 159th Street, as they searched for the source, just after 8:30 a.m.

The student residential hall houses about 158 students, but the air duct only affected 45 of them.

According to fire rescue, they found the smoke coming from an air duct but have yet to confirm the cause.
