LAUDERHILL, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are investigating after a smash and dash in Lauderhill led to a shooting, early Thursday morning.
According to officials, it all started when a white car slammed into a tree near West Oakland Park Boulevard and Inverrary Boulevard.
A group of bystanders ran over to help, and that’s when police said, the driver opened fire and took off on foot.
A passenger from inside the car was transported to the hospital, and no other injuries were reported.
An investigation is now underway.
