SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A sedan was pinned underneath a large tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike, near Bird Road.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, just after 4 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol units were dispatched to the scene of the collision on the Turnpike north of the Southwest 88th Street.

The person driving the sedan was transported to the hospital in a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue ambulance. Their identity and condition is unknown.

Though the crash scene was cleared at 4:30 p.m., expect major delays on the northbound Turnpike.
