VIRGINIA KEY, FLA. (WSVN) - A group of rehabilitated turtles were returned to their natural habitat.

The Miami Seaquarium released five green sea turtles that went through months of rehab after they were rescued around South Florida.

The Seaquarium staff is happy to see them healthy enough to return home. “We’ve been able to take these animals and care for them and make them better, and then we get to release them,” said Jessica Schiffhauer, Miami Seaquarium Animal Care Supervisor. “They get to go home and reproduce and help with the endangered species population.”

Presley, Springsteen and Clapton were released from Key Biscayne and Trisha and Jagger were released from Boca Raton and Melbourne Beach.
