DANIA BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Some South Florida families received valuable safety tips from Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with a side of ice cream, in Dania Beach, Saturday.
Children of all ages dragged their families for the safety scoop, as well as some soft serve, at the “Scoops with Troops” event held at the McDonald’s on South Federal Highway. Families spent the day painting a fire truck, hanging with the rescue crew, enjoying a bounce house and watching Ronald McDonald do tricks.
Each child was sent home with a free ice cream come and a sackpack filled with summer safety guidelines.
