MIAMI (WSVN) - A South Florida pediatric center is showing support for students after unveiling an extreme classroom makeover, Monday.
The remodeled classroom at Jackson Pediatric Center will aim to make a difference for children who require special medical needs.
The classroom’s renovation was made possible by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Miami Team.
“The opening of this pediatric center classroom at the great Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson is a dream come true,” said Miami-Dade Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho. “I am eternally thankful for the fact that you decided to show up, to stand up, to speak up and work up a great thing for our community.”
The new center has its own special education teacher who develops age-appropriate programs with educational goals and allows the children to learn at their own pace.
