FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Due to scheduled maintenance work on water lines in the Palm Aire Village West neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, officials have issued a precautionary water boil notice for Friday.

According to the City of Fort Lauderdale, beginning at 10 p.m., Thursday, maintenance work will be conducted until around 5:30 a.m., Friday.

As a result of this maintenance work, the city, along with the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, have issued a precautionary boil water notice that will begin at exactly 5:30 a.m., Friday.

The notice will be in effect for a minimum of two days or until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.

Once the notice is lifted, residents will be notified.

The area boundaries affected are:

  • North: West McNab Road
  • East: Northwest 31st Avenue
  • South: Northwest 62nd Street/Cypress Creek Road
  • West: Cove Lake Road
