NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A police-involved shooting ensued after, officials said, a suspected drug dealer attempted to sell drugs to a Miami-Dade Police officer.
Police responded to the scene at Northwest 95th Street and 27th Avenue at a Checks Cashed business in Northwest Miami-Dade.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, when a cop confronted the drug dealer. 7News is told the drug dealer went for his waistband and that’s when the cop pulled out his gun.
The weapon fired by the officer did not strike anyone.
The suspected drug dealer was taken into custody.
