MIAMI (WSVN) - Months after a deadly crash claimed the life of a taxi passenger, police confirmed that the driver at fault had fallen asleep at the wheel.
A dump truck rear-ended the taxi in Miami, which killed 66-year-old Pamela Plummer, who was riding in the backseat.
Police confirmed on Friday that the driver of the dump truck was asleep at the wheel and was woken up by the collision.
The collision happened at the intersection of Northwest Seventh Street and 17th Avenue, on April 8.
A man on a scooter and several other vehicles were also hit. Four people suffered serious injuries, including the taxi driver.
