MIAMI (WSVN) - Police have cleared the scene of a suspicious item at the Miami-Dade County Government Center in Downtown Miami.

According to City of Miami Police, the package was found outside the Stephen P. Clark Government Center at 111 N.W. 1st Ave., at around 11:15 a.m., Wednesday. Miami-Dade Police and Miami Fire Rescue crews also responded to the scene.

According to Miami-Dade officials, a homeless man was seen, around 10:45 a.m., pushing a box underneath a car. Police were called to check on the box and evacuated those in the area. The Metromover and another transit train were kept from running in that area.

The all clear was given just before 3 p.m.
