MIAMI (AP) — Police say a man and woman were arrested for beating up the man’s grandmother after she refused to drive them to a house so they could have sex.
The Miami Herald reports that 25-year-old Michael Rubio and 27-year-old Jacquelyn Carrasquillo were arrested Thursday.
A police affidavit says Rubio’s grandmother got into an argument with the couple because she refused to take them to Carrasquillo’s home.
Police say the grandmother stopped the car and got out to walk home before her grandson and his girlfriend went after her, hitting her in the body and face and throwing her to the ground.
Police say the couple was caught after fleeing the scene.
Both Rubio and Carrasquillo are being held in jail on multiple counts including battery on a person over 65.
