FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - An investigation continues into a fatal car accident in Fort Lauderdale where a 35-year-old woman was killed, on Sept. 11.

According to The Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Natalie Pinto was killed after her 2015 Nissan Altima collided with a gray, 2007 Toyota Camry, near Northwest 31st Avenue and 19th Street, just before 5 a.m.

Police said Pinto’s vehicle struck a cement light pole, which resulted in severe injuries to Pinto and a person sitting in the passenger seat of her Altima. Both Pinto and the other occupant were transported to Broward Health Medical Center. However, Pinto later succumbed to her injuries.

The passenger remains in critical condition, at this time.

The occupants of the Toyota were also transported to Broward Health Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

No charges have been filed at this time, as officials are still investigating who may be at fault.
