SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Police said that two famous Colombian actors burglarized the condo of one of their friends.
The victim, Alejandro Abello, said the thieves, who he thought were his friends, stole $20,000 worth of his belongings.
“It is very hard for me to see two friends doing that to me,” said Abello. “Especially when I open my house to them to help them.”
Abello said he gave Farid Duque and Rafael Pedroza a place to stay after they moved to the U.S. to try to break into acting. Surveillance footage showed the two men leaving the condo with bags full of stolen items.
Abello said they took his laptop, food and even his toilet paper.
“They took the whole box of toilet papers,” said Abello, “took all the clothes, and they took the watches because sometimes I put the watches inside the socks.”
Sunny Isles police said they have a warrant for the two men and are searching for them. They are wanted for burglary and grand theft.
“I feel bad, that’s it,” said Abello. “I feel really, really bad.”
Police believe the two men are likely still in South Florida.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of these men, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
