HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Miami-Dade Schools officers captured a 9-foot Burmese python in a field at Homestead High School, Wednesday morning.
Homestead High School is located at 2351 SE 12th Avenue.
No injuries were reported during the capture. The snake was brought to Miami-Dade Fire Department’s Venom Unit where it will be transferred to Florida Fish & Wildlife.
