SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A jewelry store manager in Southwest Miami-Dade was arrested after, police said, he bought stolen valuables from burglars who bragged about their crime on social media.
Police arrested Oscar Sequeira, the manager of Xodium Jewelry and Watches in Southland Mall, on Friday. According to investigators, he purchased the goods from three men linked to high-end heists at two homes in Pinecrest, one on May 27 and the other on June 9.
In a video posted on Facebook, the burglars flashed the cash they earned from the stolen items back in June, giving detectives a crucial clue to their investigation. Police said they stole more than $500,000 in jewelry, then sold it to Sequeira for $1,300.
Two of the burglars, identified as 18-year-old Raderius Collins and 27-year-old Marcus Parker, were taken into custody. A third subject remains on the loose.
