MIAMI (WSVN) - Former NBA player Etan Thomas joined community leaders in hosting the sixth annual Save Our Sons Youth Summit.
The summit reaches out to young men through a series of workshops and activities.
The summit is also meant to stop violence and motivate boys to strive for success. “It’s a movement. It’s not just about today, but it’s about men interacting with younger men and giving that guidance and support that they need in dealing with real issues that affect out community on a daily basis,” said Brother Lyle of Respect for Life Educational Services.
This year’s summit focused on cooking and tips on how to treat women.
