Gonzalez says the car had burst into flames after the driver had crashed into a light pole near an entrance ramp.
Hapersham and the other bystander pulled over to help the driver before rescue crews arrived. Gonzalez says the driver was taken to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Authorities haven’t released the identity of the driver or the motorist’s condition.
