WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are searching for two men who shot at a night club security guard and fled the scene on to State Road 826 early Friday morning.

According to investigators, both men were at the Miami club in an intoxicated state and began to make a disturbance. That’s when the security guard asked them to leave.

The men left the premises, but as they drove away, they began to shoot toward the security guard, as well as several businesses nearby, before fleeing northbound on SR 826 and Northwest 36th Street around 3:44 a.m. Friday.

Detectives investigating the shooting found casings along the Palmetto Expressway, causing Miami-Dade Police officials to shut down the roadway temporarily Friday around 9 a.m.

The Palmetto Expressway northbound has since reopened.

Officials shutdown the northbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway at Northwest 36th Street, in West Miami-Dade, from around 9 a.m. to sometime just after 11 a.m., as they searched the area for the bullet casings.

No one was injured.
