MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida church community is reeling after, a pastor said, burglars broke into a house of worship in Miami Gardens and took off with thousands of dollars in musical equipment.

Police were called out to investigate the burglary at the Pentecostal Tabernacle Deliverance Temple near Northwest 183rd Street and Eighth Place.

Pastor Nyron Allen sid he came to work on Tuesday and noticed someone had drilled through the locks. An amplifier, a keyboard, some monitors, speakers and spotlights were all missing. “The fact that someone could think of coming in the church, breaking in the church and taking all those equipments, that are so expensive, without having a second thought that we’re helping the community, it’s heartbreaking,” he said.

Alen said about $5,000 to $6,000 worth of equipment was stolen.
