DORAL, FLA. (WSVN) - DORAL, Fla. (WSVN) — The family of a man nearly killed by a hit-and-run driver is asking for help.
On Wednesday, April 13, 25-year-old cyclist Julian Briceno was riding his bike on Collins Avenue, just before midnight.
He headed north on the Haulover Bridge when a car struck Briceno and didn’t bother to stop, according to Miami-Dade Police.
At a press conference at Miami-Dade Police Headquarters in Doral, Wednesday, Briceno’s mother called the driver “heartless.” Speaking in Spanish, she said, “I want them to find the person responsible.”
Miami-Dade Police said they are still working on identifying the car. “We have witnesses that witnessed the actual impact,” said one officer. “However, they were not able to describe the vehicle to us.”
