MIAMI (WSVN) - A South Florida community center is getting a major makeover.
More than 40 volunteers pitched in Friday, with the help of Suffolk Construction, Brighline and United Way, to give the YWCA of Greater Miami a fresh, new look.
“It’s really important for us to give back to the community,” said Julie Edwards, Chief Marketer for Brightline. “We’re here with the YWCA today and Suffolk has brought their construction team and volunteers. Florida East Coast Industries and Brightline employees are working here with the community.”
The renovation project transformed the after school room, teen center and computer clubhouse.
