MIAMI (WSVN) - Miami Police are working to get kids off of the streets and onto the court, Saturday.

Twenty officers squared up against the Overtown Youth Center in a friendly basketball game, hoping to rule out future “foul play.”

“We’re having a charity basketball game,” said Miami Police Department Sgt. Roger Jackson. “This is an ongoing effort to enhance the relationship between the police department and the community.”

The rules were set ahead of the opening tip-off: winners get pizza on the opponent’s dime.

The officers eventually won by three points in double-overtime.
