MIAMI (WSVN) - With the Fourth of July on the horizon, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado held a news conference, Thursday, to stress that celebratory gunfire can have disastrous consequences.
Regalado reminded citizens that “One Bullet Kills the Party.”
Along with his reminder of the danger of celebratory gunfire, he also stressed how illegal the act is. “If someone fires a gun as a celebratory measure, the police will be knocking on your door in the next hours because of the shots sputtered,” he said.
Almost every year, innocent bystanders are struck by bullets that rain down after shots are fired into the air, with some incidents resulting in fatalities.
