MIAMI (WSVN) - The Miami Heat, along with the American Airlines Arena fed over 400 people at Chapman Partnership as part of their ReHeat program.

Families in need were treated to a holiday meal, Wednesday at headquarters in Miami.

“We’re residents right now,” said one man in regards to his family. “We’re hoping to be here not for to long. You know, get our stuff together and hopefully get on with our lives.”

NBA All-Star Glen Rice was on hand for the event. “It feels awesome, man,” he said. “I mean this is what it’s all about. I mean, you know, when the Miami Heat does things, they do it great, and then I’m just lucky to be a part of it.”

Over the years, the group has given out thousands of pounds of food.
