MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - Summer’s almost over, and a church in Miami Gardens is sending students back to school with a healthy mindset.
Mount Hermon’s Community Outreach Ministry and Miami Gardens Councilman Rodney Harris joined forces to hosting the “Back 2 School Health Expo,” Saturday.
The event took place at Parkway Educational Center, near Northwest 175th Street and 23rd Avenue.
Visitors took home free supplies and book bags. They also received free health screenings.
