MIAMI (WSVN) - A Miami doctor is facing a second accuser who said he sexually assaulted her back in 2023.
Dr. Ronald Freedman DeMeo stood before Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy S. Glazer, Wednesday morning. The 63-year-old suspect is facing sexual battery charges.
The arrest report states that the latest alleged victim to come forward told police she saw DeMeo with her mother on Sept. 21, 2023 for facial procedures.
The report states the suspect suggested to the alleged victim to get a tattoo removal the same day, to which she agreed, while her mother was finishing getting facial work done.
After the procedures, the three of them left the office, and DeMeo told the alleged victim that she should take an ice pack for her face.
The report states DeMeo left the alleged victim’s mother waiting in the lobby and brought the alleged victim to a room to get the ice pack.
It was there where, the report states, the alleged victim told police that DeMeo exposed his privates to her and asked her to kiss his genitals.
The report goes on to say the victim “froze in shock [and told DeMeo] no several times and even mentioned that her mother was outside.”
The alleged victim also told police that because she was scared for her safety, as the room had several needles and he was bigger than her, she ended up complying.
In the report, the alleged victim said she “thought the defendant could easily hurt her and tell her mother that she had some sort of medical emergency.”
Before the alleged victim left, she said, DeMeo wasn’t done, the arrest report states.
“The arrest affidavit states he bent her over and penetrated her, non-consensual,” said a prosecutor during Wednesday’s bond hearing.
The alleged victim told police about the encounter on March 19, after she heard about his other charges. He was arrested again on Tuesday.
During his court hearing, DeMeo’s lawyer disagreed with what the report stated.
“We don’t agree with what is stated there, that because she looked around the room and saw syringes, that somehow she ultimately consented to the sexual contact. I don’t think that’s sufficient probable cause,” said the defendant’s attorney.
But at the end, Glazer found probable cause for the charge.
“For purposes of this hearing, there is probable cause for the charge of sexual battery,” said Glazer.
This is the second accusation against DeMeo. Last month, another patient alleged the doctor sexually assaulted her during a cosmetic procedure last October.
In that case, the alleged victim said she never consented to expressed interest in sexual contact. DeMeo’s legal team said the interaction was consensual.
The judge set DeMeo’s bond at $7,500 and ordered him to refrain from contacting the alleged victim.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, he has since posted bond and will remain under house arrest.
Police are encouraging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward.
