MIAMI (WSVN) - A Miami-Dade Police major’s son reported to court, Friday, to begin his boot camp punishment for drug charges.
Police arrested Tyler Palmer after conducting a search of the home he shares with his father where officials found drugs and over $3,000 in cash.
Palmer took a plea deal earlier this month and blamed his actions on his parents’ divorce, among other things.
He was facing up to 56 years in prison — if his case would have gone to trial.
Tyler’s father, Miami-Dade Police Major Arnold Palmer, heads the department’s Economic Crimes Bureau.
