MIAMI (WSVN) - Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Broward County Public Schools are working with federal, state and local law enforcement officials after receiving a broad and less than credible threat against schools and universities in several Florida counties.
According to officials, the threat is similar to those received in other parts of the country.
Although there is no credible threat, in an abundance of caution, Miami-Dade Schools Police, the Broward County Public Schools Special Investigative Unit, along with other local law enforcement municipalities are being extra vigilant in and around schools.
Schools in both counties will be following regular dismissal procedures and dismissal times.
