MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FLA. (WSVN) - Planes in South Florida are ready for takeoff, as Airports reopened their runways at noon on Friday.

Both Miami International and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airports resumed operations after being closed from the repercussions of Hurricane Matthew.

Due to the closure, planes and airlines are still experiencing delays and cancellations, so passengers are encouraged to contact their airline for the most up to date information.
