LAUDERDALE LAKES, FLA. (WSVN) - Deputies have arrested a man after he barricaded himself inside a Lauderdale Lakes warehouse, prompting SWAT team units to respond.
Authorities and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene along Northwest 26th Street and 30th Avenue just after 9 a.m., Thursday.
The man falsely claimed to have explosives inside of the warehouse and told authorities he had killed several people.
The man was found unarmed and alone.
7News cameras captured SWAT team personnel in front of the building.
The man was taken into custody just after 12:30 p.m.
The area remains blocked off, even to residents who live across the street from the building.
