KEY WEST, FLA. (WSVN) - A man who said he was stranded at sea for five days has been sent home.
The Costa Rican citizen said he fell off a boat and was left floating in international waters for days before he was rescued by a U.S.-based tanker.
The ship’s crew called the Coast Guard, who then flew the man to its base in Key West.
The man was given food and a place to stay for several days until arrangements were made for him to travel home.
