DANIA BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A suspect accused of two different crimes at gas stations has been arrested.

Surveillance video caught one ordeal in Dania Beach where the accused, who police identified as Frederic Mordon, snatched a purse from inside a parked vehicle at a gas pump, on Sept. 17. The purse owner tried to stop him and even dove onto the hood of his car as he drove off. He kept going until she fell off, and he eventually ran over her foot.

Last Saturday, police said Mordon is also the same person who allegedly stole a car with a 2-month-old baby inside from a shopping plaza in North Lauderdale. A 10-year-old girl was also in the vehicle and was able to get out before the man drove off.

The infant was found safe hours after the carjacking.

Mordon has since been arrested and is being held without bond because he violated his previous parole.
