POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — A man is in police custody after, police said, he pulled a woman into his apartment and refused to let her go, Thursday morning.
The Broward Sheriff’s SWAT team responded to a call at 2731 N.W. 1st St. in Pompano Beach at around 11 a.m. A little over an hour later, the man was taken into custody.
Family and friends of the victim said she is his girlfriend. They said he beat her, Wednesday night, and when she tried to get away on Thursday, he wouldn’t let her out.
The identity of the man is not yet available. There is no word yet as to whether he will face any charges.
