MIAMI (WSVN) - Cameras at a South Florida cell phone store captured a pair of crooks working in tandem to distract employees while they stole several expensive iPhones.

In the middle of a busy day at the MetroPCS store along East Flagler Street, two men pretended to check out several iPhone 7 Plus phones that were on display.

The robbery occurred Friday, at around 12:30 p.m. According to surveillance footage, the men parked their bicycles outside the store before strolling in. One of the men walked straight for the phones and ripped them from the display and left the store. The other man continued to look at phones on display in another area of the store to create a distraction. He followed his accomplice shortly after.

Employees called police, who arrived minutes later.

The Downtown Miami store is one of the biggest dealers of MetroPCS phones in all of South Florida.

The owner of the store said he wants the men caught. “Today I’m calling you to get these guys off of the streets,” he said, “and that’s why I’m making clear to anyone who has any information leading to an arrest. I will pay you $500 just to bring these guys to justice.”

That $500 will be added to the Crime Stoppers reward.

If you have any information on this theft, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
