AVENTURA, Fla. (WSVN) — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the man responsible for a smashing break-in at a prep school in Aventura, Wednesday.

According to Aventura Police, the subject entered the cafeteria at Aventura Waterways Preparatory Academy, located on Ives Dairy Road. by breaking the window of a door, just after 10:30 p.m.

Once inside the building, the perpetrator broke several door windows with a fire extinguisher. Investigators are working to determine whether he stole anything.

Police said there have been three previous break-ins at the school in which the subject broke in by smashing a window.

Detectives described the subject as between 16 and 19 years old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighing between 160 and 175 pounds. They said he has short black hair in twists, brown eyes, and he was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with the “Mortal Kombat logo, dark pants and dark shoes.
