MIAMI (WSVN) - Philanthropists gathered in Downtown Miami to celebrate a noble cause at a gala that featured members of 7’s family.
The 22nd Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball took place at the renowned hotel, Saturday night. This year’s theme was inspired by majestic animals and fantasy.
7’s own Alex de Armas hosted the red carpet.

Meanwhile, 7News anchor Belkys Nerey came out to support the cause.
“This organization does so much for kids everywhere,” said Nerey. “Sadly, we can’t find a cure for every childhood disease that there is, but we can always do a little something for those kids that are ill have a smile.”
The event’s gala featured several performances and was headlined by singer John Legend.
