Local temple hosts services to those not belonging to celebrate Rosh Hashanah

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Happy New Year to all our viewers celebrating Rosh Hashanah!

The All Peoples Synagogue of South Florida is extending complimentary invitations to anyone that does not belong to a synagogue.

The synagogue will be holding High Holy Days services at the First Baptist Church Lauderdale, along East Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.

Rosh Hashanah is a two-day celebration filled with personal reflection, prayer and eating symbolic foods, such as apples dipped in honey, to ensure a “sweet new year.”
