MIAMI (WSVN) - New details have emerged from Miami-Dade Police’s encounter with the man at the center of a mother and daughter’s disappearance, Monday.
Gustavo Castaño’s lawyer said, when police tased Castaño, last Thursday, it caused him to lose his right eye.
Castaño, the father of 9-year-old Daniela Moreno and involved with Liliana Moreno, who remain missing, was found behind a Home Depot intending to take his own life, police said.
According to officials, he threatened to harm himself by placing a box cutter to his neck.
Police continue to search for both the mother and daughter.
