SUGARLOAF KEY, Fla. (WSVN) — A federal judge is expected to make a decision Tuesday on the fate of a group of Cuban migrants found near Sugarloaf Key.

The migrants have been held on a Coast Guard cutter since they climbed a lighthouse off Sugarloaf Key, on May 20, to avoid being captured.

The judge must determine if the lighthouse constitutes land, which would allow the group to stay due to the U.S. wet-foot dry-foot policy.
