Joe’s Stone Crab hosted their 16th annual Claws for a Cause dinner, Thursday night, to raise money for the Children’s Home Society of Florida.

Guests had a chance to try the famous stone crabs before the restaurant officially opens for the season on Friday.

The dinner serves as a fundraiser for the Children’s Home Society of Florida. “It touches everybody, helping all these little children and helping not even the little children, the even bigger children,” said Joe’s Stone Crab General Manager Brian Johnson. “That’s our future, so every little bit that you can do to help in any way, shape or form, that’s the way to go.”

The event raised over $190,000 last year to help children and families statewide.
