WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Two of the southbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway at Northwest 58th Street have been closed after a Hialeah Police motorcycle officer was injured in a collision.
It appears that a pickup truck rear-ended the officer, Friday afternoon.
The extent of the officer’s injuries are not known at this time. He was transported Palmetto General Hospital.
Traffic on the highway was backed up as far as Miami Lakes, as two southbound lanes were closed during the investigation.
The scene has since been cleared.
