MIRAMAR, Fla. (WSVN) – Police arrested one man accused of stealing a car in Fort Lauderdale, Tuesday morning.
7Skyforce flew over the scene as officers and K-9 units searched for the suspect in a Wal-Mart parking lot located on Pembroke Road and University Drive.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, a vehicle was stolen from a Mercedes Benz dealership along Federal Highway. The suspect drove the car all the way to Miramar, before taking off on foot.
The suspect was eventually found and taken into custody.
University Drive was shut down southbound between Pembroke Road and Miramar Parkway for several hours. It has since reopened.
