- Boca Raton
- Clewiston
- Coral Springs
- Davie
- Fort Lauderdale
- Hialeah
- Hollywood
- Jupiter
- Miami
- Moore Haven
- Pahooke
- Pembroke Pines
- Pompano Beach
- Sunrise
- South Bay
- Wellington
- West Palm Beach
The advisory affects those who spend time outdoors, including those who may work outdoors. NWS recommends moving to a cool or shaded location and to drink plenty of water. It is also important to wear loose-fitting clothing and knowing the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion. You should take periodic breaks indoors with air conditioning.
WHAT IS A HEAT ADVISORY?
A heat advisory is a period of hot temperatures and high humidity that combines to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying out of the sun if possible and to check on relatives and neighbors.
